So the day that Landry had waited 6 months for finally arrived.

Landry's birthday is the day after Christmas when we are usually travelling and it is way too cold to try and have a birthday party for a dozen screaming 5 year olds. So we held off this year and celebrated in the sun (barely) Landry's Hawaiian beach party.
The days leading up to the party had been full of gray skies and rain. We all held our breath up until literally moments before children started arriving and alas the clouds open up and the sun shone and we had a beach party right in our sunny, albeit soggy backyard.

What cute photos, that cake is amazing it looks just like a sand castle (is that crushed graham crackers?). I think it's fun for kids with December birthdays to have their parties in the summer. They get the shaft when their birthdays are too close to Christmas, and they only get to celebrate big things once a year. This way he has something fun every six months and that's fun (my birthday is in July and I've always thought it was nice that it wasn't close to Christmas).
i am going a littel crazy over the darling cake!!!!!!!!!!
cute idea of the summer bday.
how are you feeling.
