Not a rhetorical question
Okay, I know we all feel pretty overwhelmed a lot of the time but this is my genuine request for your input about your own time management. How do you all find the time to do it? To post on your blogs, to read blogs and comment? To keep on top of your laundry? To make a reasonably healthy meal for your family and occasionally and extra for a freind or neighbor in need? How about those days where your don't even manage a 5 minute prayer or perhaps a shower! I want to know the honest truth about what you think is okay to let slide a day or two and how you find a way to slip in the fun stuff. Please share...

I steal a few mins here and there for blogging, wash a load a day and have a big folding party one the 5th{or the 6th or when the clean pile is too big to ignore an longer!} day! I squeeze in meals as needed!
My time management issues have greatly decreased now that my kids are both in school all day. But I think making doing a little bit of everything every day, rather than letting it get out of control helps me. For example, I throw in a load of laundry or two every day so that it's not overwhelming. I do dishes as we use them, dust while I'm on the phone, and make sure the kids help with the cleaning. I read my scriptures and say prayers before bed every night, but doing that first thing in the morning might be a better option if night time doesn't work for you. You might want to keep track of how you spend your time each day so you can see where time gets away from you. Good luck Jen!
gosh, I don't know. I do laundry (all of it) on mondays. I stay in my pj's and while the laundry is going I get caught up on blogging, e-mails, bills and such. Then I fold it all while watching my favorite shows (getting caught up on them too). The rest of the week I just keep the house "picked up" and sweep and vaccuum when needed. I have a cleaning lady come in every 2 wks to do the major cleaning (she's so cheap!).
I am not caught up on reading and commenting and you can tell because I only get 2-4 comments on my blog. You get what you give in the blogging world.
Here's the deal - everyone is in a different stage of thier lives. We can't compare - it will ruin us. We can be motivated, inspired, uplifted and loved by others but we can't compare.
One last thing - Fridays are my day to go do what I WANT. I drop Abby off at 12 and I have 3 hours all to myself. This helps me by 1) looking forward to something while I'm working my bum off during the week & 2)lifts my spirits for the next week.
Good luck!!! Love you! ♥
I wish I had some good advice on this, Jen! I'll be checking back to see what others have said...
Hi Jen, It is so good to hear from you! I know that life is crazy, believe me I know. I think for me, I have felt guilty for so many years for not recording my life (writing in my journal), that when I fell in love with blogging it has helped remind me that this is my personal history and for my kids. Whenever a thought or story enters my mind, I run and blog it. Different times always. I read scrips in the early morn, exercise and shower at the gym, do laundry and house cleaning on demand and spend the rest of my life driving kids around. I too have a cleaner twice a month and love it. Hearing from my blogging family gives me the boost I need to keep going. I love to hear from everyone and that their lives are as crazy as mine. It gives me energy. BUT, family first, right? We can only do so much! Best of luck!
Sometimes I time myself. Like, I'll put tea on and give myself a bit of time to blog or comment. I've also found, for my artwork, that waking up super early, like 5 or 5:30, helps me to get a lot done, because I'm focused and not distracted by "i could be going here or doing this or that" because everything is closed, nobody is awake, and I woke up early for a purpose.
